Regional Reshaping Work Conference 2024


May 22 & 23, 2024, Belgrade, SERBIA  
The Regional Reshaping Work 2024 conference in Belgrade will address the significant changes in digital labor, especially in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, due to the pandemic and AI advancements. Key discussions will focus on the evolving landscape of platform work and its effects on various stakeholders, including workers and businesses. The conference encourages diverse abstracts related to AI, skill development, and intersectionality within the platform economy.
The abstracts should have clear practitioner and/or policy implications, as the conference aims to bring together both academics and practitioners and facilitate constructive discussions. Key topics include, but are not limited to:
Stream 1: AI at Work
Stream 2: Regulating AI
Stream 3: Intersectionality and Platform Work
Stream 4: Skills for the New Platform Era
Participants interested in the Regional Reshaping Work 2024 conference should submit an 800-word extended abstract by February 12, 2024. Accepted papers will be presented at the event and may be published in a special issue of the journal Southeastern Europe.
Submissions should include title, affiliation, and specify one of four sections: AI at work, Regulating AI, Intersectionality and platform work, or Skills for the new platform era. Abstracts are to be emailed to, with acceptance notifications sent by February 29, 2024.
