RSA & Forward Institute - Hosted by Matthew Taylor & Ruth Turner

This table will be hosted by Matthew Taylor, who is Chief Executive of the RSA – a high-profile 263-year-old think tank and membership organisation based in London. He was also chair of a UK Government review of modern work, commissioned by the UK’s Prime Minister in 2016. His particular interests are the future of work, public service reform, and democratic renewal. Matthew is co-hosting with his wife Ruth Turner, who is programme director for the Forward Institute – a fast growing ethical leadership start-up, which works intensively with next generation leaders in major public, private, and third-sector organisations. If you join their table, they would enjoy discussing how to renew the public’s confidence in a better future for humanity.

UberEats - Hosted by Emilie Boman & Laurin Sepoetro

The Uber Eats table will be hosted by Emilie Boman and Laurin Sepoetro. Emilie is based in San Francisco and leads global public policy for Uber Eats. Laurin is based in Brussels and leads Uber’s policy thinking on Future of Work at EU level. Both are looking forward to discussing how Uber thinks about the future of work and what role platforms can play in both opening up new economic opportunities and addressing some of the challenges independent workers are facing.

KIN (VU Amsterdam) - Hosted by Hans Berends & Marleen Huysman

This table will be hosted byĀ Professor dr. Marleen HuysmanĀ andĀ Professor dr. ir. Hans Berends. Marleen Huysman is professor on Knowledge & Organization at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she heads the department of Information, Logistics, and Innovation, and she is also the director of theĀ KINĀ Center for Digital Innovation. Her research is mostly focused on topics related to the future of work, and she regularly reaches out to the public for example in aĀ recent interview in NRC. Hans Berends is professor of Innovation & Organization at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is the program director of the MSc program on Digital Business & Innovation. His research focuses on the organizing of digital innovation, for example through interorganizational collaboration, as well as new forms of collaboration enabled by digital platforms. Deloitte - Hosted by Bart Moen & Niels Nuyens

Our table will focus discussion on theĀ key drivers for the Future of Work. We will share experiences about ways an organization can deal with challenges related to technology and workforce demographic change. The table will be hosted byĀ Bart Moen, Partner at Human Capital Consulting, andĀ Niels Nuyens, Senior Manager Technology Consulting. Bart and Niels will share how Deloitte is addressing these challenges and facilitate a conversation at the table for others to share insights from their organizations.

KPMG - Hosted by Roel Menken & Jochem Pasman

This table will be hosted by Roel Menken, Partner representing Workforce of the Future initiative within KPMG, andĀ Jochem Pasman, Senior Manager Platform Advisory practice. During the dinner, we would like to encourage sharing of ideas around the ways we can organize by adding a flexible layer of work for knowledge workers. Furthermore, what differences do we see between task and knowledge-oriented work? We are looking forward to sharing insights from our experiences as well as hearing your ideas on the topic.

City of Amsterdam – Hosted by Ger Baron & Femke Blokhuis

This dinner table will be hosted by Ger Baron, the Chief Technology Officer at the City of Amsterdam, and Femke Blokhuis, the Project Manager for the platform economy. As the City of Amsterdam, our main challenge is to strike a balance between innovation and novel concepts, while making sure our city is developing in the right direction and ensuring that rights of all involved in the platform economy are met. We are eager to learn from your experiences, challenges, and good practices regarding the platform economy, and of course, we are looking forward to sharing our own.

Care.com - Hosted by Laura Esnaola and Dirk Kasten

The dinner table will be hosted by Care.com EuropeĀ“s Managing Director LauraĀ Esnaola. Care.com is the world’s largest online destination for finding and managing family care. Laura also founded Ā“CareĀ WithĀ CareĀ“, a cross-border recruiting and training platform that connects unemployed nurses with health care employers in Germany. Over the past year, Laura launched a training program called ā€œCare Forwardā€ that helps refugee women enter the labour market and designed an awareness campaign to break down familiesĀ“ biases towards hiring refugees. In her free time, she plays concerts with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Laura is co-hosting with Dirk Kasten, Senior Director Corporate Communications at Care.com Europe in Berlin. As a father of four, DirkĀ is interestedĀ in discussing theĀ role of modern dads asĀ well asĀ the division of paid &Ā unpaid work between partners. Both look forward to discussing how digitalization and platform economy will change the future of work and how care can be the catalyst for global economic growth.
