Melissa Renau

Melissa Renau is a PhD candidate at the Open University of Catalonia at Dimmons research group under the supervision of Mayo Fuster Morell. Her research focuses on exploring the role of public policy in the platform economy in order to address the main challenges that entails in work, welfare and social protection. The project is being developed within the framework of the H2020 European project PLUS (Platform Labor in Urban Spaces: Fairness, Welfare, Development) and the Sharing Cities project that brings together 50 cities from around the world. She truly believes that social science research can have a social impact on society and wants to contribute to this end.
