De Rode Hoed

The Ancient Greeks had the Agora, and the Romans had the Forum. In Amsterdam, we proudly present De Rode Hoed, a venue steeped in a 400-year-old tradition of fostering intellectual exchange. Erected in the 17th century, this former clandestine church stands as the largest and oldest of its kind. De Rode Hoed continues to build on its past as a safe haven: the oldest hidden church in Amsterdam has offered Remonstrants freedom of thought since the 17th century. Today, it continues this tradition, free from political or religious biases, serving as a bastion for open-mindedness.

Its unique location along the Keizersgracht, exclusive ambiance and capacity, combined with its traditional and yet innovative spirit, make the Oosterhuiszaal a fabulous place for the Reshaping Work 2024 Conference. Its unique features include two balconies providing a splendid view of the stage, authentic elements such as the original pulpit and restored organ, and vaulted ceilings that enhance acoustics. Despite its historical charm, the venue seamlessly integrates the latest technological advancements, creating an inspiring environment for meaningful discussions and shaping a future rooted in its rich past.
