Biography
Dr. Alex Corra is Senior Policy Advisor in Law & Ethics of Ethic Center at the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB). The SVB is a Dutch public organization that executes several social insurance schemes by providing payments for old age pensions, child benefits and among other things personal care budgets. At the SVB Alex is the Ethics lead providing the organization with policy advice on a comprehensive area of expertise relating to the Ethics of public service delivery, spanning a range of topics from digital ethics to ensuring that as a public service provider we consider the human dimension when interacting with our citizens and personnel. This entails not only executing the black letter law, but also keeping in mind the more general purposes of these laws, while navigating the tensions of trying to deliver responsive customised services while adhering to the principles of the rule of law.
