Biography
Laura Jugel is a Legal and Policy at the European Commission, where she works in the European AI Office in the unit responsible for AI Act Governance and Compliance. Laura has been closely involved in the preparation and negotiations of the AI Act. In her current role, she works on coordinating and overseeing the implementation of the AI Act. Her areas of focus concern the classification of AI systems as high-risk and the implementation of the AI Act within EU Member States. Laura is a German fully qualified lawyer and has studied at the University of Mannheim and Sciences Po Paris.
