Maja Kovac is a Chief Methodologist and Senior Research Fellow at the Public Policy Research Centre since 2015. She leads research design processes and research projects of the organization while introducing a set of innovative methodological approaches to their implementation. Before joining the CENTER, Maja was engaged within research institute, international organizations and civil society organizations as a research fellow, consultant and programme manager.
Her research interests revolve around rethinking the concepts of social and human capital under the different contextual settings with the focus on the semi-periphery, and their interrelations to the worlds of work, education and skills for the future.
Maja holds PhD in sociology from the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom, M.A. in economics from the University Pierre Mendès France, Grenoble II and B.A. in economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade.
